It's not every day you find your calling when you're 5 years old, but my husband did.
It's a wonderful thing to take something from your childhood, which he never expected he would be doing at this moment and turning it into a profitable business for his family while taking the time to enjoy his craft.
My husband Robert, began making soap from pig fat as a child. He told me, they would save the pig fat to make the glycerin for the soap, and as a child, it was his job to keep the fire going. During this time, he helped his family make lye soap not only to bathe, but also to wash clothes and dishes.
Now, decades later, he is still making soap, but not from pig fat anymore, its Goat’s Milk, Shea Butter, Honey, Beer, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide and melt and pour bases. The most popular soap is the Goat Milk because it’s moisturizing and pampering to the skin.
To learn more about soaps and candles, my husband and I have traveled extensively vising different manufacturers in and out of the United States. It was an eye opening experience, not the way the soap was made, but how unsanitary the factory appeared in producing huge quantities of soaps and candles. We are a small business, but we hold the highest standards and take pride in our work when it comes to a clean and sanitary workspace to ensure equipment and workspace is properly sanitized safely.
Instead of just making soaps, my husband and I have made body butters, sprays, lotions, Showergels Body Wash and Soy Candles with unique fragrances. Our body butter recipes varies with Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil, Tapioca Starch and comesin several fragrances or essential oils which include: Peppermint, Lavender, Madison Rose, Jamaica Me Crazy, Wild Rose, Oatmeal and Honey and Love Spell. The body butter is whipped and put in a 5oz. container and then labeled for customer use. We tend to use a variety of essential oils in our products to ensure its the right scent!
Most of our products are white in color because of its natural essential products without the added dyes for the face and skin. Too many dyes and blends into products tend to make the skin irritable. Some of our products do carry dyes, but not all they are mostly white or clean in color.
Just as much effort we have put in all of our products, we hope you enjoy them the same way they were made!
